It is a time for me to I don't pretend to suggest one's own life: how we plan midst of deciding your new ~,beginning stage ... :something that carries us .and our intentions into the future. Knowing that I don't ;Just want to put out a good :intention or a goal for 2015 'means that I need to have a deeper understanding of .what I want and what I need. To be sustained, anything :needs to be renewed ioccasionally in some way. :A machine needs servicing, ,a home needs maintenance, ia body needs cleansing, both externally and internally, and our minds and spirits :need renewal. So at this new iyear I decided to tend to ,both body and spirit. i The body is fairly straightforward --- a limited three-day cleanse should :start the year off right. One :day of water, one day of fruit juices and one day of green smoothie drinks. The fourth day I'll re-enter the land of PAMELA NOEL ire "eaters" with steamed vegetables, thus curbing certain habitual tendencies for too much sugar, salt and refined carbohydrates. Those first luscious bites of fresh veggies will taste wonderful as my dulled taste buds will come alive again. It's also easier to do this with a friend.., in a mini cleansing retreat where you can support one another, rewarding each other with a special water or tea treat. But even more interesting to me is re-enlivening my mind and spirit. There is a present and a future that needs your and my energies. So to ready myself for myself, and for whatever the future holds, I am residing in a retreat center in Northern California for nine days. council wil ,m The Plumas County Fire Safe Council invites citizens to attend and participate in its regularly scheduled monthly meetings.
