Oliver placed first in both the Quincy Elks and North- east District Hoop Shoots. With these honors secured, Oliver moves on to the Hawaii/Northern California finals at Sacramento in March. Oliver's next step would be the western finals in Arizona. Winners of the national fi- nals receive college scholar- ships; with lots of practice, and a 20 percent increase in his accuracy, Oliver could go to the nationals, said Fred Thon, a member of the Quincy Elks.
