The win was sweet for freshman Jarrell Tate, who, for the second game in a row, was the leading scorer for the Eagles with 23 points. Anthony Gattrell ended with 17 and DeShawn Pughsley finished with 11. FRC improved its overall record to 14-7. FRC 79, Shasta 49 With the Golden Eagles' 79-49 road win over Shasta last week in Redding, the Golden Eagles kept their conference record above .500 at 2-1 -- and began a two:game stretch in which Tate led the team in scoring with 29 points off 14 buckets and a trip to the free-throw line, as well as a double-double on a combined 10 offensive and defensive rebounds. The game was another example of multiple FRC players PuShing their offensive Skills into double digits for a victory; freshman Nick Longmire finished with 12 points, while sophomore Juwan Blakely added 10 of his own. Longmire also dropped a double-double with 12 rebounds to lead the Eagles in grabs under the basket.
