OBITUARIES Michael Timothy Wilson Michael Timothy Wilson, born in Healdsburg, on April 2, 1964, passed away peacefully on Jan. 7, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Brenda of Placerville; son, Jeffrey of Folsom; and daughter, Kathryn of Placerville. Michael was a great husband; father, brother, uncle and friend to many. Michael always strived to make a positive impact on every person he met by putting a smile on their face and showing his love through hugs Michael was a hard-working generous man known for his kindness and compassion and will forever live on in the hearts of loved ones. Michael was a 1982 graduate of Greenville High School. After high school he joined the Army and attained the rank of Sergeant Michael Wilson, US Army Airborne Ranger. Michael enjoyed dancing with friends and family. He was a lifelong Minnesota Viking fan. Michael was the sixth of nine children. He is survived by his sister Linda Wilson of Klamath Falls, Ore.; brother James Wilson, of Greenville; sister Patricia McCutcheon, of Taylorsville; brother Thomas Wilson, of Reno, Nev.; sister Tamm Sennett, of Greenville; sister Diana Nolen of Reno, Nev.; brother Andrew Wilson, of Greenville; brother Dennis Tommervik, of Santa Rosa; brother Thomas Hennessey, of San Francisco. Michael's personal wish was to have a Celebration of Life which will be announced at a later date. Online condolences may be posted at chapelofthe pinesfflnerals.com. Nadine Bartholf Melba "Nadine" Bartholf passed away peacefully on Jan. 13, 2014, in Chico, at the age of 85. She was born in the Bay Area and lived in Greenville for more than thirty years. It was there she met and married her childhood sweetheart, Byron Bartholf, who preceded her in death in 2002. Nadine and Byron had four children, Lee, Lynn, Nada and Peter. In 1971, the family moved to Susanville and she lived there until moving to Chico in 2003 to be closer to family members. Morn worked at the Auditor's Office in Susanville for many years and enjoyed her time there and the many friends she made. Nadine loved to cook and share her recipes as well as the delicious treats she made with friends and family. She loved music and played the piano her entire life. Even when her fingers no longer wanted to cooperate, she figured out a way to play her Sunday morning church music for her friends at The Terraces, where she lived for the past ten years. Mom loved her family and took particular joy in watching her beloved great-grandchildren, Will and Ava, growing up. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Woods and Nada Bartholf (Mike Myatt); son, Peter Bartholf; sister, Mary Studley; granddaughter, Stacy Edwards and great-grandchildren, Will and Ava Edwards. The family would like to thank all of her friends and staff at The Terraces for their friendship, and care. A special thank you to Mariann Ysordia, the workers from Senior Assistants and Merit Medi-Trans for their caring hands when she no longer could help herself. Mom has requested no memorial services be held and to have a private burial with family only. She will be buried in Greenville, with her husband, Byron and her son, Lee and will be at peace with them. Leslie-Ann Openshaw Leslie-Ann Openshaw went to sleep peacefully in death at her home in Pahoa, Hawai.i, of natural causes, Jan. 13, 2014. Leslie leaves her two sons Conrad Kelonu Ragsdale, 9, and Zane.Leland Ragsdale, 7. Born in Quincy to Barbara Burge and Stanley Openshaw, on Nov. 25, 1983, she was the last of seven children: Shane, Chris, Angie, Wyatt, Robin and ' Cody Openshaw. She also loved her four stepbrothers: - Jason, Matt, Andrew, and : Jeremy Mouser, and is also survived by grandparents :, Robert and Harriet Taylor, and 16 nieces and nephews. " Her caring touch and therapeutic healing was :, reflected in her chosen profession as a massage : therapist. She was one of the best? Seth weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 inches in length. Maternal grandparents are Susan and Marty Cnossen. Paternal grandparents are Kathy and Richard Eisenbeiss I. Great-grandparents are Ted and Georgia Hiatt.
