4B Wednesday, Jan 24.2001 New theme chosen for Plumas-Sierra County Fair "Fun in the Sun in 2001," was chosen as the theme for this summer's PlumasoSierra County Fair. During a regular meeting of the board of directors Jan. 17, members mulled over a list of suggestions from the public and fair staff, and then made their selection. Director Kevel Gutman sug- gested the "Fun in the Sun in 2001" theme. Manager Mike Clements said he saw a sfmilar theme used at another fair in the state, it was easy to do, and eye-catching. Director Carol Viscarra said it would be great getting gar- dener Fred Surber to plants lots of sunflowers around the grounds.
