The bond between a boy and his horse endures even during the ravages of war in "War Horse." "War Horse" plays four days, Friday - Monday, Feb. 3-6. Set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War, this epic adventure for audiences of all ages centers on Devon lad Albert and his steadfast horse, Joey, whose faithful bond cannot be shaken -- even when Joey is sold to the cavalry and sent off to France. Directed by Steven Spielberg. This 146-minute drama is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of war violence. "We Bought A Zoo" plays two days, Friday and Satur- day, Feb. 10 and 11. Acclaimed filmmaker Cameron Crowe ("Jerry Maguire," "Almost Famous") directs an amazing and true story about a single dad who decides his family needs a fresh start, so he and his two children move to the most unlikely of places: a zoo. With the help of an eclectic staff, and with many mis- adventures along the way, the family works to return the dilapidated zoo to its former wonder and glory. The cast includes Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Elle Fanning and Thomas Haden Church. This 126-minute dramatic comedy is rated PG for language and some thematic elements. While filming a movie in England, Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe slips away with a young Brit for a week of self-discovery and frivolity. The story that ensues is based on the real-life memoirs of Colin Clark, once assistant to Sir Laurence Olivier, and documents the tense inter- action between Olivier and Monroe during production of "The Prince and the Showgirl." The cast includes Michelle Williams, Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee for her role as MonrOe, as well as supporting actor nominee Kenneth Branagh and Emma Watson, Dominic Cooper, Derek Jacobi, Julia Ormond and Judi Dench. This 99-minute showbiz drama is rated R for some language. Website: myweek "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" plays two days, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17 and 18. Oskar (Thomas Horn) is convinced that his father (Tom Hanks), who died in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, has left a final message for him hidden some- where in the city. Feeling disconnected from his griev- ing mother (Sandra Bullock) and driven by a relentlessly active mind that refuses to believe in things that can't be observed, Oskar begins searching New York City for the lock that fits a mysterious key he found in his father's closet. His journey through the five boroughs takes him beyond his own loss to a greater understanding of the observable world around him. King is an indifferent hus- band and father of two girls, who is forced to re-examine his past and embrace his future when his wife suffers a boating accident off of Waikiki. The event leads to a rapprochement with his young daughters while King wrestles with a decision to sell the family's land handed down from Hawaiian royalty and missionaries.
