The cards and sentiments have left us with so many wonderful memories, many, you shared that we hadn't heard before. As SpikCs disease progressed, he was looked after by wonderful friends," neighbors, and community. So many of you stopped your busy days to listen and care. You helped him at the store, paying for his breakfast or coffee, when... he forgot. Often, when Spike was "headed home," a friendly person steered him in the direction of our home. You took him golfing, directing him on the course ... where to hit his ball.., you forgave him when he mistakenly hit your ball, those days he relished. On his daily Main Street rounds, you stopped whatever you were doing to visit with him, he told you stories you heard many times before, but you listened ... laughed and with that twinkle in his eye, he'd be on his way -- often times returning the next day with some apple fritters! These acts of kindness you gave him without fanfare, acknowledgement ... you loved him and gave him your respect. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, taking such wonderful care of our dear "Spike." Quincy is a special place to live.
