6B Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 Bulletin, Record, Progressive, Reporter BLOTTER, from page 3B Slide un-slid It was reported that Caltrans unblocked the rockslide at Highway 89 on Crescent Grade. Car fire In Greenville, a caller reported that a vehicle was on fire. The fire department was paged. Road closed Highway 89 at Indian Falls was reported closed from the Greenville Wye to Canyon Darn. Missing persons Near Hamilton Branch, a caller reported that some of her relatives were missing. They were last seen about 2 miles from Hamilton Branch in a car. They were traveling from Orovflle to Quincy and were ) traveling with a 4-year-old child. The CHP reported finding the, car. A family member said that they received a message from the people and that they had gotten a ride and were fine. Malfunctioning crossing On Highway 70 near Little Bear Road, a malfunctioning railroad crossing was reported. The railroad reported that they needed the county road department to close the road. Undermined road On Highway 70 near Black Hawk Road, it was reported that Black Hawk Road was undermined and that the roadway would collapse. The information was given to the county road department and the CHP. Not a swimming pool In Quincy, it was reported that juveniles were swimming in the skate park. Bridge flooding It was reported that water was on the Arlington Bridge. No food In Portola, a caller requested a welfare check on someone he thought hadn't eaten in quite awhile. A deputy reported that the man was fine. Evacuations On West Ponderosa Drive in Plumas Eureka Estates, it was reported that people were going door-to-door telling people that they might have to evacuate. Manhole problems, In Chester, it was reported that a manhole was overflowing and that the water company pushed the water into his yard. Hazard reported On Chandler and the Greenhorn Creek Bridge, it was reported that water appeared to be undermining the roadway. More flooding Highway 70 at the Gold Pan motel, it was reported that the road was flooding. Lake level It was reported that Bucks Lake was two feet above the spillway crest and that snow was blocking the path. There seemed to be no threat to the dam. Disturbance On Highway 70 at Highway 89, it was reported that someone was causing problems with Caltrans workers over the road closure. Resisting In Portola, a deputy reported that while doing a probation check a person ran out of the substation. Sandbagging In Portola, assistance was reported with sandbags on Commercial and First streets. Tank flip In Crescent Mills, a caller reported that her propane tank was turning on its side and she was unable to turn it off. Shining a fight In Meadow Valley, a caller reported that he and a friend were taking a walk and happened to shine a light into a man's house. He came out and grabbed one of them by the shirt and screamed at them. A deputy reported contacting the juveniles' parent and that she had talked to them. A place to stay In Quincy, senior services reported that they had someone in Greenville who needed a place to stay. There were no vacancies in the area. Flooding reported In Crescent Mills, the CHP reported that Highway 89 south of Crescent Mills was completely flooded. Caltrans said they couldn't reach the location and they'd run out of signs. Stuck on tracks Near Greenville, a caller reported that someone took Old Haun Road in an attempt to get to Greenville and got stuck on the railroad tracks. The call was transferred to the CHP. Wednesday, Feb. 8 Evacuation In Crescent Mills, a caller reportedthat a friend was injured and might need to evacuate her home because of flooding. A deputy contacted the individual who was fine, but she said she was leaving because the water was only 125 yards from her home. Suspicious call In Delleker, a caller reported that a scam had occurred and had lost $2,000. Adeputy reported that the caller had given cashiers check information to someone over the phone. Bad mix In Quincy, a deputy reported talking to two juveniles who were mixing cough syrup in their sodas. He talked to them and called their parents. Big rocks It was reported that three or four boulders about I to 2 feet in diameter were in the eastbound lane on Highway 70 east of the Spanish Creek Bridge. The call was transferred to the CHP.
