v Feather River Bulletin Wednesday, March 11, 2015 3A Newspaper expands capabilities Equipment specialist Mike Looper, left, tells Feather Publishing Co. Vice President Cobey Brown about some of the benefits of the company's new inserting machine, while local electrician Rich Caley, right, rewires the addition Friday, March 6. With the steady growth in advertising circulars and special sections, Feather Publishing invested in additional inserting machinery to meet growing demand. The additional inserting machine will nearly double production capacity. Most weeks, more than 285,000 individual pieces are packaged together to complete the company's six newspapers. The setup and installation started Wednesday afternoon and was completed Sunday evening. "While there continues to be a lot of discussion about the challenges facing the newspaper industry, don't think for a minute that community newspapers that are committed to covering local news like ours don't have a bright future. Because they do -- otherwise we wouldn't have made this substantial investment," said Publisher Mike Taborski. Fire, Water or Wind Damage have you frustrated?
