For the auction I |] t: Quincy High School senior Nimer Shergill displays a painting of the Plumas County Courthouse that she donated to Plumas District Hospital. The painting will be part of the silent auction at the hospital foundation's Denim & Diamonds event Saturday, March 22. Photo submitted Locked door policy for increased student and school safety. As you may have noticed, all classroom doors are in the locked position during school hours. This came out of a thorough discussion at a recent district wide Safety Summit held at the District Office. In collaboration with the Sheriffs Department, Fire Department, First Responders and local medical providers throughout the county, it was decided that the quickest, and easiest thing we can do to increase your child's safety is to lock classroom doors during schoolhours. All schools in our district have adopted the policy and since this was an easy change to implement, it happened quickly. We are also reminding you to sign in at the office and get a visitors badge. All of these efforts are to keep our schools safe for our kids. If you have any safety concerns or comments please feel free to give me a call. We all have to keep our eyes open and help with the safety of our schools.
