Dear Friend... With all the uncertainty happening in the world, we need more than ever the spiritual anchors that root us to something more solid than being on our own. FAITH is just such an anchor for our soul. But it has to be faith attached to some semblance of reality. A "world heavyweight" in this category is Jesus Christ, someone who actually lived, died, and rose again! Jesus holds ultimate real- ityfor us today. Jesus, the Friend of sinners and outcasts, the One who invites "the least, the last, and the lost" to come to Him- "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life... I am the resurrection and thefife. He that befieveth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he five... "- Jesus Christ-John 3:16 & 11:25 Jesus and His life, death, and resurrection are not some fairy tale that religious people thought up! He stands the scrutiny of examination through the centuries. For example, Frank J. T/pier has been the Professor of Mathematical Physics at Tulane University and is an expert in particle physics, cosmology, the information sciences, and the field of global general relativity, a unique and special branch of physics. He was an atheist who gave little thought to theology. He began a project to reconcile theories of the origin of the universe with a mathematical model of the end of the universe. It took him the better part of 17 years, and he came to 2 startling conclusions- 1) That God exists! and 2) That it is not only )ossible, but likely, that every human being who ever lived will be resurrected from the dead! T/pier arrived at proofs of God's existence and our immortality "in exactly the same way physicists calculate the properties of the electron." It is all in his book, The Physics of Immortality. If you want to grow in an intelligent faith, come join us each Sunday at 10:00 AM, at Springs of Hope Christian Fellowship, 59 Bell Lane, here in Quincy.
