t Bulletin, Record, Progressive, Reporter Wednesday, May 9, 2012 7C FRC'.(; thlree-on-three tournament is May 19 Feather River College is hosting a three-on-three bas- ketball tournament fundrais- er Saturday, May 19. The tournament will begin with p0ol play. Upon the completion of pool play, seeded bracket play will commence in single elimina- tion format. Three games are guaranteed. Games are to 21 points or for 15 minutes. Three point- ers will be counted as two points, and all other baskets as one point. On a shooting foul, the team will be award- ed the points as if the basket had been made. On a non- shooting foul, the team that was fouled will maintain possession of the ball, and will recheck it. After each basket, the new team on offense must clear the three point line and check the ball with his or her defender. On any change of possession, the new team on offense must clear the three point line before they pass the ball or drive to the hoop. In an event that the score is tied when time expires; sudden death will determine the winner. The team to start sudden death will win possession with a free throw shot. All participants must meet the minimum age require- ment of 18 years old. Only the team captain may address questions concern- ing a player, the game or an official's call. The following items are not permitted to be worn during the competition: baseball caps, hats, jewelry and any item an official or supervisor feels may be a risk to the participants' safe- ty. Substitutions can only be made after a basket; in co-ed, a female must be on the court at all times. The defensive team will be responsible for calling fouls. In a discrepancy, the official at the basket will make the call. There are no timeouts, ex- cept for substitutions. Each team will have a two-minute warm-up period before their game. Players must bring their own warm-up balls. Only game balls will be provided. In the co-ed bracket, games will be played with a men's ball. To sign up, email FR.C women's basketball coach Haley White at, or call her at 283-0202, extension 320.
