ACA had won 10 league contests in a row. Greenville faced ACA's best pitcher who leads the league in strikeouts and has the third best ERA. Oiefiyille man- aged to oit them but came UP 'on the short end of the score and lost the game 4- 1. In game two the Indians came out strong with good pitching and timely hitting. At the end of six innings they led the game 7 to 2. In the bottom of the sev- enth, ACA came back and scored four runs, falling just short. The loss to the Indians snapped ACA's ll-game league winning streak. The Indians pounded out 17 hits and confused the op- position with their aggres- sive style of baseball. Their toughness showed through- out the day as only nine play- ers showed up for the game. The complete team effort was lead by Ray Talavera's offense with five hits and his defense (seven catches), Brandon Meza had four hits, and Donnie Housen, Sam Johnson, James Martinez and Chance Tolen all had three hits for the Indians. Tolen caught all 12 innings on Friday. Jacob Henry had two more hits and solidified the Indian outfield along with Tony Rogers who caught the final out. Andrew Fairbanks pitched a complete game in game one and then came in to save the second game for Greenville. (530) 283-2035 DFG clarifies take methods for turkeys The Department of Fish and Game (DFG) is clarifying an inadvertenterror found in the 2011.-12 mammal hunt: ing regulation booklet. On page 19 of the print booklet, Section 311(f) indicates that "0.20 caliber minimum for taking wild turkey" is required. This is incorrect but has been cor- rected in the online version of the booklet. The actual regulation was changed in 2011 after the booklet was printed and the correct regulation for 311(f) is: "Air rifles powered by compressed air or gas. and used with any caliber of pellet, except that wild turkey may only be taken with a pellet that is at least 0.177 caliber." The 2012-13 mammal hunt- ing regulation booklet is now in preparation and this change will be reflected.
