Bulletin, Progressive, Record, Reporter Wednesday, May 12, 2010 3C CHARITABLE TOURNAMENTS May 12 Horses Unlimited will hold a charity golf tourna- ment Wednesday, May 12, at Graeagle Meadows Golf Course. Horses Unlimited is a charitable organization that provides therapeutic horse- back riding for people with special needs. The event will begin at noon with a barbecue at Bonta Street Bistro, and the golf will begin with a 2 p.m. shotgun start. There will be two divi- sions, each with their own format. Divison I will be a four-person scramble, and Division II will be four per- son with two low net balls. The entry fee is $95 per person. For Graeagle pass holders using a Graeagle cart, the fee is $75. For Graeagle pass holders using a private cart, prepaid cart or walking, the fee is $60. The entry fee includes green fees and cart fees, a tee prize, a hamburger and hotdog barbecue, and clos- est-to-the-pin awards. Entry forms are available at the Bonta Street Bistro. May 15 The Tee it Up for Toddlers golf tournament will be held at Plumas Pines Golf Resort Saturday, May 15, to benefit the Graeagle Preschool. The shotgun start begins at 2 p.m. The tournament includes golf, cart, range balls, a tee prize from Plumas Pines, au- tomatic hole-in-one entry and hors d'oeuvres from Longboards Bar and Grill following play. The cost is $80 per player on or before May 1, or $95 per player after May 1. The deadline is Wednesday, May 12. For more information, call Plumas Pines at 836-1420. Shotgun starts are scheduled for 8:04 a.m. both days. The tournament is a mem- ber-guest format with GM- GA members paired with their guest. Scoring will be better ball on Friday and both balls on Saturday. Each day there will be closest-to-the pin prizes on all four par-three holes. Sat- urday's round will have sig- nificant prizes for an unlim- ited number of holes-in-one on each par three. These prizes include a golf trip to Scotland or $10,000 in cash for a hole-in-one on the 16th hole. This year the tournament also features a Horse Race, to be held after Friday's round. Cash prizes will be given to the winners of each flight and to the overall win- ner. Entry fee include green fees, tee prizes, continental breakfast both days, range balls, prize funds, prize drawings and an awards banquet with a hosted bar. Net proceeds from the tournament benefit Plumas County charities. In the past, approximately $3,000 each year has been donated to those organizations. A $10,000 hole-in-one cash prize is sponsored by High Sierra Insurance, and a $500 putting contest is sponsored by US Bank.
