Sierra County Fair are cared for and treated In a humane and ethical manner, and that livestock pens are auttable for public display, Policy: Livestock exhibitors are solely responsible for the care of their animals while on exhibit at the Plumes-Sierra County Fair. If the Barn Supervisor or the Livestock Superintendent beoome aware of any livestock mdflblt that is not being cared for in an ethical, humane manner, or situations where an acoeptabla state of pen cleanliness, as determined by the livestock management staff, is not being maintained, the following will oocur: 1, The Barn Supervisor will make the Livestock Superintendent aware of the situation 2. The Barn Supervisor end LivestOCk Superintendent will determine the name and affiliation of the responsible exhibitor. " 3. A Red Tag, with the following information, will be affixed to the exhibitors pen: a. The exhibitors name b. The observed problem c. The date and time of the oration d. Signature of the Livestock Supedntlmdent/Bam Sul rvisor 4. It is the exhibitor's rqNkoonsibllity tO respond to the Red Tag by oontecting the Livestock Supldntertdtmt/Bam Supervisor within 12 houri of the 01tltion being issued. Reasonableefforts will be made by the Liv tock Superintendenl/Bam Bupw dsor to contact the exhibitor's FFA ildVtlor, 4-H LBldor, Parent or Designee and make them lwara of the situation resulting in the Red Tag citation. 5. Any Exhibitor failing to make oontact with the Livestock Superintendent/Barn Supervisor within 12 hours may be issued an automatic second Red Tag Citation. 6. Any exhibitor receiving two Rod Tag eitMlonl during the Fair will be deolared ineligible for further competition, inaludlng INIttkdllMton in the Jr. Livestock Auction.
