4A Wednesday, June 6, 2012 Feather River Bulletin Concert on the Green The Quincy Elementary School Advanced Band, under the direction of Tanner Johns, opens Concert on the Green at Quincy High School on Wednesday, May 30. For the first time in three years, the weather cooperated and the event was able to proceed outdoors, rather than in the gym. Photos by Delaine Fragnoli The Quincy Junior High Band begins its performance with "William Tell Overture." Later, director Tanner Johns recognized players who had been selected to various regional honor bands: Dylan Merrill, percussion; Ethan Hicks, trumpet; Ethan Boyd, trumpet; Hayley Easley, alto saxophone; Maya Belsher- Howe, flute; Gracie Taylor-Mays, flute; Cody Morrison, alto saxophone; and Jet Richardson, trombone. Natalie Kepple lends her vocals to the jazz band's performance of "Blue Moon." She's backed by Che Rubalcava-Cunan on drums, Nathan Retallack on guitar and Sean Graham on bass.
