Feather River Bulletin Wednesday, June 9, 2010 9A Left: Plumas Charter School graduate Kerri Peltier, quite literally embodies tlae values of the school. Peltier was hit by a car three and a half years ago and was paralyzed from the waist down. Two years later, she found herself in foster care. Peltier admitted to being a weak student at the time. At Friday night's graduation, however, she led the group down the aisle using only a walker and fortitude. Peltier was also one of three student speakers at the event. She said that when she graduated she was determined to walk down the aisle with the rest of her class. Peltier's speech was positive in a way that only comes from serious life experi- ence B very urusual for someone her age. She ended by telling the assemblage, "Only the strong survive."
