Photos by James Wilson Plurnas County Community School graduates three James Wilson Staff Writer Though only three walked in the Plumas County Community School's graduating Class of 2015, the commencement ceremony held at Pioneer Elementary School on June 10 was filled with enough heart to fill a class of many more. Jayla Mann, Azlynn Reed and Tahlah Willis all got the chance to speak at the commencement ceremony, thanking families and friends that supported them through their time at the county school. "Being in a class this size, you form a bond you wouldn't have in a bigger class," Willis said, addressing her fellow classmates. The graduates' teacher, Kathy Hall, gave Mann and Reed special commendation for completing two years worth of credit over the last year, enabling them to graduate a year early. Aurora Westwood sent off the three-person graduating class with a quote from Steve Jobs she felt summed up the graduates perfectly. "Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes ... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones who do." Plumas County Office of Education Superintendent Micheline Miglis presented each graduate with her diploma. Additionally, Hall and aide Elizabeth Wilson were on hand to congratulate and hug each graduate after she received her certificate.
