The east side, from Big Cove to Turkey Point, has been pro- ducing excellent results. Nightcrawlers remain the fa- vorite bait, with Powerbait and various lures and flies still favorites. Elmer Cantlon III, of Sparks, Nev., caught a 1-3/4 lb. rainbow in Little Last Chance Creek using a Pan- ther Martin. Call for updates 993-4683. FS Road 22N24 is closed at its intersection with FS Road 21N16 near Lewis Flat. Alter- nate routes to the South Fork Feather River and Mooreville Ridge are via La Porte Road and Barton Hill Road across Lost Creek Dam, or Lumpkin Ridge Road (22N27) and FS Road 22N24 through Golden Trout Crossing. To ensure public safety, the dam is being modified to meet safety regulations. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commis- sion has determined that the Sly Creek dam does not meet the probable maximum flood restrictions.
