Work needs to be delivered to the fairgrounds Aug. 2 and 3. But artists must enter by the July 11 entry deadline. Entry forms and exhibit guides are available on the fair website, plumas-sierra- Plumas Arts Coordinates the annual preparation and display of art in the Art Barn. The monumental task of get- ting all the art accepted and up on the walls requires many hands and hundreds of volunteer hours to accom, plish. Plumas Arts is search- ing for volunteers. For every four hours that they work, volunteers get ei- ther a four-day pass for daily entry to the fair or one ticket to any of the grandstand shows Here are the ways vol- unteer time is needed Accepting art: four-hour shifts from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, and noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3. Hanging art: four-hour shifts from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5. Acting as docent during the fair: two-hour shifts, from noon to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, through Sunday, Aug. 12. Anyone with time to help is encouraged to call Plumas Arts at 283-3402 to sign up for volunteer slots. The deadline is approaching to enter artwork in the Plumas-Sierra County Fair. Besides the chance to win ribbons, artists get to see their work displayed in the Art Barn.
