CARE CREDIT Alicia Knadler Indian Valley Editor Plumas kids whose fami- lies join the Indian Valley Riding and Roping Club are in for lots of summertime fun, including rodeo-style play days, campouts and trail rides. Some of the club kids will be competing in the Taylorsville Junior Rodeo this weekend, Saturday, July 24, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Spectator seating will be free Saturday, and $5 for a Sunday event organized by the Western Regional Bullriders Association. The final of three play days will be Friday, Aug. 6, with free spectator seating. The final club campout of the season will be in the Caribou Wilderness from Thursday, Aug. 12 through Sunday, Aug. 15, followed by a club trail ride and potluck breakfast Sept. 19. Specially arranged this year are Destry Campbell Horsemanship clinics, one of which will be Friday, Oct, 1 through Sunday, Oct. 3. After that, club activities slow down for the winter until the first meeting of 2011 in May, when all Plumas County girls ages 15-18 are welcome to enter the Silver Buckle Rodeo Queen compe- tition.
