Ol en was born and raised in Oakland where he studied guitar under Douglas Murphy, a student of Christopher Parkening. He continued his studies at Hayward State Universit Humboldt State and the University of Nevada, lteno. As he studied, he was awarded three scholarships which helped him pursue his musical career. During his education, Ohren also studied under Michael Walsh and Don Enriquez of Humboldt State, Ed Corey of UNR and Jim Bertram of California State Universitg Hayward. Ohren's heart-felt classical style ts well known in Humboldt County and Plumas Coun In his two CI)s, his guitar classics and compositions are both found. Ohren has played numerous esmb. lishments like the Grey Eagle Lod Plumas County Arts Commission, Plumas Corporation, Gold Mountain, Grizzly Grill, Moons Restaurant, Barcelona Cafe, Portola Healthy Start and for the Snow Ball, a benefit for the Plumas Ski club.
