The bequest came from Cy Hall's widow, Evelyn, who died in May, after a lengthy illness. Evelyn also donated an old Main Street warehouse to the museum that was created in her husband's memory back in 1989. Cy Hall was the Greenville fire chief for more than 50 years before his death in 1984. "I was just a punk working along with the other boys when we lost our chief." Cy said in a 1982 interview at the age of 76. The old chief, Stacy Bac- cala, was shot by slot-ma- chine robbers in 1932. Cy took over Baccala's du- ties and the Ford Model A fire truck with a W.S.
