Photo submitted GOLF RESULTS Plumas Pines Women's Golf Club Tuesday, Aug. 28, was the final day of our 3-day Club/Handicap Championship as well as our regular Captain's Cup Qualifier. The Club Champion is Sharon Russell and runner up was Jan Anderson. The new Handicap Champion is Mary Peters, runner up was Lori Dierssen and third place was Judy Rossi. The Captain's Cup gross winner went to Lori Dierssen (91) and low net winner was Mary Peters (69). The playoff for Captain's Cup is scheduled for Sept. 25. Those participating in this are: Renee Walker, Dottle Hattich, Sharon Russell, Doni Burt, Jan Anderson, Janet Grijalva, Lori Dierssen and. Mary Peters : Mt. Huff Golf As we near the end of the month of August hard to believe the summer has flown by. Nonetheless, the enthusiasm for the Wednesday Morning Scramble has not diminished. There was a great turnout on Aug. 29, which made for some spirited play. In first place at 10-under-par, was the team of Don Hubble, Ron Williams, Leo Sorosinski and John Hackett. The second place team came in at a very close 9-under-par ' for Robert Turcotte, Margie Joseph, Dick Grace and Jeff Stevens Darel Joseph hit it closest to the and Mary Trafton and Robert Turcotte aced the chip-in. Our game this day was "Odds," counting only the odd holes and subtracting half of the handicap Our winners for the game were: First Flight -- first place, Ginger Birchfield and second place Kym Coco, who also birdied Hole 8; Second Flight -- first place, Jenni Cesarin and second place, Barbara Pescio. Our highlight of the day was made by Kym Coco, who shot a "37" on the front nine. Congratulations to Kym. We look forward to next week and to more guests joining Us in play.
