The statute is further clarified and made specific in regulation in Title 14, the Natural Resources Division of the California Code of Regulations. At the regularly scheduled meeting on March 4, 2015, the Board of Forestry adopted amendments to these regulations governing fire safe development in the State Responsibility Area (SRA). These amendments were approved by the Office of Administrative Law on April 27, 2015 and became effectiVe on January 1, 2016.
