July 17, 2010, at the age of 76. He was a loving husband to Jackie for 53 years; ador- ing father of Cindy, David, Ross and Sarah (Scott); and cherished grandfather of Lisa, Thomas and Jacob. He is also survived by his beloved sisters, Ann (Manuel) Sebastian of Ar: royo Grande, Gretchen (Joe.) Hagwood of Quincy, and Myra (John) Cabe of Long Beach. He was the proud un- cle of Scott Hagwood of N.H: and Greg Hagwood of Quin cy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom. Ed was born in Middleton', N.Y. At the age of 12, the family relocated to Santa Maria where he finished high school. He graduated magna cum laude from Har- vard University in 1959, in architectural sciences. He also served as a para: chute infantry platoon leader in the Army. After starting out in con- struction, he switched t0 computer software develop ment, which he enjoyed for: 40-plus years in Californid and Minnesota. i He was an avid admirer of antique cars, aircraft and shows. In retirement he v61 unteered at Hart Senior Cen- ter in Sacramento teaching basic computer skills. Foremost in his life was his family. He was a wonder- ful and loving husband, fa- ther and grandfather who is greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held Oct. 9, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 5901 San Juan Ave., Citrus Heights, (916) 966-7242.
