2B Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014 Bulletin, Record, Progressive, Reporter. VITAL STATISTICS OBITUARIES Kelly Catherine Millard Kelly Catherine Millard, 46, from Quincy died in a car crash Sept. 22, 2014. She was born in South Lake Tahoe on Oct. 19, 1968, to.Janet and Bill Millard. Kelly was raised in South Lake and then moved to Gardnerville, Nevada, where she graduated from high school. Then she started her long career as a waitress, which she enjoyed for 30 years. She moved to Quincy and met her husband, Sidney C. Moser Jr. of Quincy. They were married on Nov. 11, 2011. Kelly loved the Lord and it showed by the way she helped other people and the volunteer work she did at the church she attended. She loved to camp, and had a green thumb. Kelly loved animals. Her family meant the most to her. Kelly is survived by her husband Sid, son Jesse Riggs of Quincy, daughter Megan Moser of Reno, father Billard Millard of Cromberg, and sister Christy Richards, from Oregon, and an uncle, Phillip Millard of San Diego, and aunt Ann Johnson; cousins. Carrie, Mina, Jane, Van, Jovie and Jim all from Nevada, aunts Joyce, Diana and Peta-Anne and an uncle David and cousins Daniel, Polly, Joshua, Josh, Jack, Stewart and Rachel, all from England. Kelly is also survived by many friends including Trish and Herb Witherspoon of Washoe Valley, Nevada. A celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church, 74 Reese Street, Quincy, on Oct. 11 at 1 p.m, In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Sid Moser, P.O. Jean Louise Rude Quincy resident Jean Louise Rude passed from this life peacefully, at her home Monday evening, Sept. 29, 2014, following a hmg and courageous battle with diabetes. Her lov, ing husband was at her side. Born Oct. 15, 1933, in Ceres, to the late Gus and Grace (Kerfoot) Wilhite, she was raised and educated in Ceres, graduating from Ceres High School as a member of the class of 1951. Shortly following her graduation Jean went to work for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph as an operator, later rising to the position of an investigative clerk with them, retiring after 28 loyal years of service to the company. It is while working for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph she met a handsome young company man named Ronald Jack Rude. As their love of one another grew, the couple was later married in Ceres On Dec. 3, 1953, and to this union two sons were born. The newlyweds settled in Modesto, for a period of time before a transfer in 1960 took them to Sacramento. Following their retirement Jean and Ronald moved the northeastern California community of Quincy in 1988 both to enjoy retirement and care for loved ones. Jean was a devout member of the Quincy Church of Christ as well as a longtime volunteer with the Plumas District Hospital Auxiliary. She could be found alongside her husband traveling in their Model A's, was a member of the Feather River A's as well as a former member and past secretary of the Capital A's Club. She had a passion for the study of genealogy. In passing, Jean leaves her CELEBRATE A LIFE LIVED. Dorothy was born on Nov. 17, 1929, in Santa Clara. In 1948, she married Fred Vierra Sr. and in the next few years gave birth to her two sons. After moving to Chester in 1966, Dorothy and Fred became owners of the local 'restaurant/bar The Bear Club. That is where you could always fired Dorothy tending bar or waiting tables. In 1978, they bought the Sierra Motel on Main Street in Chester where they lived, owned and operated the business for more than 30 years. Dorothy enjoyed evening walks around town, playing cards, and of course her favorite thing, chocolate. A celebration of life is being planned for Nov. 15 in Santa Clara. Bryan Compton passed away Sept. 28, 2014, at his home in Rancho Cordova at the age of 54. He was born to Juel "J.D." and Evelyn R. Compton on Aug. 2, 1960, in QuinCy. His parents precededhim in death, along with David N. Compton and Charles Anthony Compton, his nephews. He is survived by his daughter Megan L. Compton " and granddaughter Monani ! Yeager; as well as his longtime companion Linda; ' brothers Robert J., Karl C., Kenneth R., Brian D., Charles' Raynard, Burnell Compton , and Jeffery Belvin; also sisters Cynthia D. and Caryn G.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
