Mari Erin Roth :: Sports Editor " sports@plumasnews.com The Eagles' football team played an away game against the Butte Roadrunners on Oct. 13. It is easy [o grow accustomed to the clap-clap-clap from F, RC freshman quarterback Jalen Dummett before each hut. He presents a solid and consistent force for the fans with 49 completions. Dummett averages 97 yards per game and regularly provides spontaneous and otherwise exciting quarterback keeps for theEagles team. Dummett is credited with 488 yards this season and five touchdowns. The FRC team also has second year Ryan Albiani as a quarterback for the team with 289 yards in 20 completions and three TDs for the Eagles. FRC's football team towers over the average Joe as a force to be reckoned with on the athletic field. This is something that spectators in the stadium may not notice, but the players are big, powerful athletes. Covering both high school and college teams directly, up close and personal on the field, has provided a clear contrast that defines the difference in size of the individual team players. It can be a dwarfing experience to be on the field during college games. The Eagles have a home game against the Shasta Knights this Saturday, Oct. 20, starting at 5 p.m. Then FRC will travel for away games Oct. 27 vs. Sierra and Nov. 3 vs. Siskiyous. They will return home for the final scheduled game of the season to face the American River Beavers on Saturday, Nov. 10, starting at 5 p.m. on the Feather River College stadium field.
