2A Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 Feather River Bulletin ~iiiiiiiiiiiiiii Friday afternoon in Quincy saw trick-or-treaters in costumes ranging from scary to adorable. Animals, from dogs competing in the second annual costume contest to a pink horse carrying Lady Godiva (Lacy Ringo), gave their human counterparts a run for their money. Teri Haas and company organized the canine costume contest, with help from the Quincy Chamber of Com- merce which sponsored the Safe Trick or Treat. Meadow Valley Grooming and Top Dog Grooming provided the prizes -- gift certificates to Pet Country and stuffed toys. Winner of the large dog category, Ruby Roper (one-half of The Princess and the Frog, with Brianna) gleefully played with her toy before leav- ing the courthouse steps.
